British motorcycle manufacturer Norton has officially launched its first cafe racer bike. Named – Norton V4CR. It is based on their V4SV. The TVS-owned company plans to sell only 200 units of the bike. Each is priced at £41,999. 42.81 lakhs in Indian currency which is about Rs.
Norton V4CR : Design
Norton V4CR’s feature list includes a hand forged aluminum frame, titanium exhaust system, open air intake. Again the back part is short and wide. There are also LED headlights and a 15-litre under-seat fuel tank.
Norton V4CR : Engine and Hardware
A 1200 cc, 72 degree V4 engine is featured in the higher priced V4CR. It produces 185 bhp of power and 125 Nm of torque. Mated to the engine is a 6-speed gearbox with bi-directional quick-shifter.
Both sides have Ohlins suspension. Where the bike has been allowed to perform braking duties Brembo calipers. Norton V4CR features lean angle sensitive traction control and three-engine mode. The motorcycle features keyless ignition and a full-color six-inch TFT display.
