It goes without saying that people with more members in the family will naturally prefer bigger cars. Maruti Suzuki has launched its biggest car, Invicto, this week for these buyers. As much as its style is high, its price also surpasses the rest of the models in the company’s lineup in the country. The car comes as a rebadged model of Toyota Innova Hycross. So it is only natural that there will be many similarities between the two MPV models. But still these five changes in Maruti Suzuki Invicto are worth noting to maintain its uniqueness. Which sets it apart from the Innova Hycross. Let’s learn about these five distinct differences.
styling
From a distance, it is a bit difficult to tell the difference between Invicto and Innova Hycross. The difference is in the front grill. The Invicto features a grille inspired by the Grand Vitara. It has 17 inch alloy wheels in front. While the top variant of the Hycross comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. There is also a difference in the design of the alloy wheels. Again, the car comes with Nexa’s signature tri-element LED taillamps and hybrid badge.
Inside the cabin of the two cars, the features are almost the same, but there is a difference in the color scheme. The interior of the Hycross features Chestnut Brown and Black with silver elements on the dashboard, center console and doors. While the cabin of the Invicto is decorated in copper and black colors with silver.
Features
The Invicto lags behind the Hycross in terms of features. This MPV model of Maruti has a 6-speaker sound system. Whereas the Toyota model features an 8-speaker sound system. Hycross offers powered ottoman seats for added comfort. Which is missing in Invicto. However, this Maruti car comes without significant advanced driver assistance system or ADAS features. So safety related features like lane keep and departure assist, adaptive cruise control and auto emergency braking are not offered.
powertrain
Invicto and Innova Hycross – Both models are offered with a 2-litre strong hybrid petrol powertrain with eCVT gearbox. Which produces 186 PS and 206 Nm of torque. However, the regular 2-litre petrol engine is not offered separately on the Invicto, which is available on the Innova Hycross. As a result, the starting price of the Maruti MPV is higher than that of the Toyota model.
Warranty and Service
The Toyota Innova Hycross is offered with a warranty of three years or one lakh kilometers (whichever is earlier). Again it can be extended up to 5 years or 2.2 lakh km. Whereas Maruti Suzuki has offered a warranty of two years or 40,000 km (whichever is earlier) on their Invicto. It can be extended up to 5 years or 1 lakh km. Again, the hybrid powertrain has a battery coverage of eight years or 1.6 lakh kilometers.
the price
Maruti Suzuki Invicto price starts from Rs.24.79 lakh. While the top-end model is priced at Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom). In that respect Toyota Innova Hycross is comparatively cheaper. The Japanese company’s car is priced between Rs 18.82 lakh and Rs 30.26 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the variant. So from the above discussion, I hope it is not difficult to understand which car you will benefit from.
