Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles today announced the launch of the new Jawa 42 in India. This neo classic style bike comes with several upgrades. The price has been kept at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). You will be surprised to hear that it will be available 17,000 rupees cheaper than the current model. Despite the price reduction, improvements have been added to this bike in many areas including power delivery, NVAH level, weight distribution.
New Jawa 42: Key Upgrades Added
The new Jawa 42 is powered by the third generation J-Panther engine. It will produce 27 bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque. The performance and power delivery of the engine has improved. Jawa claims that the new generation engine will offer better thermal efficiency, balanced crankshaft. Improvements have also come in NVH levels.
The Jawa 42 comes with a six-speed gearbox. Having an assist and slipper clutch reduces clutch effort by 50 percent. The new gearbox is said to offer smoother shifts and less transmission error. The bike has 18 inch front and 17 inch rear wheels. Besides alloy wheels, buyers can choose spoke wheels. Single and dual channel ABS with disc brakes are offered.
The Jawa 42 is now available in a total of 14 color options. The company has added six new colors in the 2024 edition. It will be available at over 400 touchpoints of the company across the country. Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle is moving forward with a plan to increase the number of outlets to 600 within this year.
