Mediatek Helio G95 announced with ARM Mali G76 GPU for mid-range smartphones

Mediatek Helio G95 has announced with ARM Mali G76 GPU for a budget and mid-range category smartphones. The Taiwanese chipset maker introduced it as the most powerful 4G silicon chipset for smartphones. It competes against Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G that was revealed on 31 August.


Mediatek Helio G95 Features


Mediatek has announced Helio G95 SoC that is based on 12nm process technology by TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). The chipset has an octa-core CPU including 2 x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05GHz and 6 x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2GHz. Moreover, It is able to support up to 2 x LPDDR4x RAM clocked up to  2133MHz and 10GB in size. For storage, it can either paired with eMMC 5.1 or UFS 2.1.


Coming to the camera department, it can support up to 64MP multi-camera setup and is able of recording videos in up to 4K resolution at 30fps. In terms of display, it can support panels of up to 2520 x 1080 resolution (FHD+) with a 90Hz refresh rate.


On the connectivity option, the Mediatek G95 include the support of 4G, VoLTE, ViLTE, VoWifi, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS(Beidou, Galileo, Glonass, GPS) as well as FM Radio. The chipset comes with MediaTek HyperEngine gaming technology that offers better connectivity by using WiFi and LTE data connection at the same time. Additionally, It has better resource management and improved graphics.


The helio G95 is almost similar to its predecessor helio G90T except for ARM Mali G76 3EEMC4 GPU present in the former is clocked at 900Mhz instead of 800MHz in the latter. Due to which it offers slightly better gaming performance. Realme 7 becomes the first smartphone that enters in the market with Mediatek Helio G95 SoC.
