Mediatek Dimensity 1200 and 1100 SoC has been launched with up to QHD+ display resolution support and Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. One of the leading smartphone chipset makers revealed its next-generation Dimensity 1000 series chipset. The new chipsets are manufactured on TSMC’s advanced 6nm process technology and offer peak download speed up to 4.7Gbps and peak upload speed up to 2.5Gbps.
Mediatek Dimensity 1200 features
Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC is based on 6nm architecture. It is an octa-core CPU that includes a 1x Arm Cortex-A78 ultra core clocked up to 3GHz for extreme performance, 3x Arm Cortex-A78 super cores, and 4x Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. In terms of display, The Dimensity 1200 chipset can support up to QHD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with a 168Hz refresh rate. For Graphics, The SoC is paired with Arm Mali-G77 GPU. Coming to the camera support, It can handle up to a 200-Megapixel single-camera setup and a 32MP + 16MP dual-camera setup. Other camera feature includes AI-Panorama Night Shot, AI Multi-Person Bokeh, AI noise reduction (ANR), HDR, 4K recording, Video HDR, Video NR, Video Bokeh, and Video EIS.
For connectivity option, The Dimensity 1200 has 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 6, 5.2 Bluetooth, GPS L1CA+L5, BeiDou B1I+ B2a, Glonass L1OF, Galileo E1 + E5a, QZSS L1CA+ L5, and NavIC. Additionally, The SoC includes supporting up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Mediatek Dimensity 1100 features
Mediatek Dimensity 1100 has an octa-core CPU designed that includes 4x Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz and 4x Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, paired with a nine-core Arm Mali-G77 GPU. The chipset supports 144Hz fast refresh rates display with up to QHD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It packs with up to 108MP single camera and 32MP + 16MP dual-camera setup support. Further, The SoC includes supporting up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Many popular firms including Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO, and realme, expressed their support for MediaTek’s new Dimensity processors. The first smartphone with the new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and 1100 chipsets are expected to hit the market at the end of Q1 and the beginning of Q2 this year.
