MediaTek Dimensity 1000C has been announced with 5G connectivity. The company has added a new chipset in its flagship 5G chipset portfolio. As per the report, The chipset is mainly designed to focus on advanced AI capabilities, enhanced display features, and premium 5G experiences.
MediaTek Dimensity 1000C Specifications and Features
Mediatek has finally announced one more chipset in their dimensity 1000 series. MediaTek Dimensity 1000C is an octa-core SoC that comes with four Cortex-A77 cores and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2GHz. It includes the support up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM clocked at 1,866MHz and USF 2.2 storage. Coming to the camera department, the Dimensity 1000C can support up to a single 64-megapixel sensor or up to a 32-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual camera setup.
In terms of graphics, Mediatek Dimensity 1000C supports five core Mali-G57 GPU. The chipset is also able to handle display resolution up to 3,840×2,160 pixels. It supports dual displays for flip or fold phones or a single 120Hz display with up to Full-HD+ resolution. The chipset comes with an AV1 video hardware decoding feature which is used in better playback of Netflix and YouTube at higher resolution, as well as power-efficiency.
Moving up to connectivity option, It has integrated 5G support with Mixed Duplex 5G-CA that allows for seamless handover between two 5G connections. It equips with support for TDD+FDD, TDD+TDD, and FDD+FDD with North American carriers. It also has 4G support, 4×4 MIMO, Wi-Fi 5 (a/b/g/n/ac), and Bluetooth v5.1. Besides, the chipset can hear multiple trigger words to wake up virtual assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
It was also confirmed that the T-Mobile LG Velvet will be equipped by Dimensity 1000C SoC. The smartphone will go live on sale in the US from September 10.
