Within a month of the launch of the new generation model, the Swift has become the best selling car of the Maruti Suzuki company. The hatchback sold a total of 19,393 units last month. More than 40,000 bookings have come in simultaneously.
The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in India less than a month ago. Meanwhile, it has taken the Indian market by storm. The car has been popular since its inception. The new Maruti Swift facelift has become the focus of everyone's attention due to its fuel efficient engine and loads of features. The premium hatchback has already set a record in bookings. Again, the Balono took the title of Maruti Suzuki's best-selling model in May with the ace of the Dzire.
Maruti Suzuki Swift became a bestseller in the month after its launch
Last month Maruti Suzuki's new generation Swift sold more than any other model. It reached a total of 19,393 new customer addresses in May. Again, within a few weeks of the launch, the company has proudly announced that the car has crossed 40,000 bookings.
Speaking at a press conference, Maruti Suzuki Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales) Parth Banerjee said, “We have now launched only the petrol variant of the new Swift. The CNG variant is yet to come. With 40,000 bookings for the petrol variant, it can be said that it has been able to make a mark in the minds of the buyers since the first month.”
Maruti Suzuki also said that the demand for the manual variant of the new generation Swift is the highest. This model accounts for 83 percent of total bookings. Whereas the contribution of the automatic gear system variant is 13 percent. The new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift has seen several changes, one of which is the engine. The new 1.2 liter three-cylinder petrol engine has a mileage of 25.72 kmpl.
