Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in a new avatar in the Indian car market last week. This is the fourth generation model of the car. Prices start from Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki will soon begin delivery of the new Swift to take on the Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10. The company claims that the Maruti Suzuki Swift's bookings have crossed 10,000 units within a few days of its launch.

Maruti Suzuki has started taking bookings for this hatchback from May 1. 11,000 is being booked. The company claims that bookings have crossed 10,000 within 10 days. Notably, the new Maruti Suzuki Swift features newly designed front and rear bumpers, LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lights, gloss black front grille, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and new LED taillights.
The car is available in a total of five variants – LXi, VXi, VXi(O), ZXi and ZXi+. Again buyers can choose the car from nine color options. Powering the move forward is a new 1.2-litre, Z-series petrol engine. It will be paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT transmission.
The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Swift gets a new dashboard, 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen system, instrument console and cruise control. In addition, there will be wireless phone mirroring, wireless charger, rear AC vent, Suzuki Connect, keyless entry, 60:40 split rear seat. Safety features include 6 airbags, brake assist, ESP, three point seat belt with reminder and reverse parking camera.
