After a long wait to take the Indian off-roader world by storm, the five-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny was finally launched today. It has appeared in six variants. The base model is priced at Rs 12.74 lakh and the top-end trim is priced at Rs 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom). For more than five decades, the Jimny has earned Suzuki’s trust in the SUV segment. Interestingly, India is the first country in the world to launch the five-door model of the Jimny. The car’s main rival in the country is the Mahindra Thar.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Engine and Gearbox
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine. The car can be optioned with a four-speed torque converter automatic and a five-speed manual gearbox option. Its engine will produce a maximum power of 105 HP and a torque of 134 Nm. It has electronic traction control system and a three-link rigid axle suspension.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Features
Getting in and out of the four-seater Jimny’s rear doors is easy. The cabin features an all-black color theme, circular dials for HVAC controls, 9-inch main infotainment screen, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Semi digital driver display is also present. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear view camera, ESP with hill hold assist, etc.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny is offered in multiple single and dual tone color options. These include Bluish Black, Kinetic Yellow with Bluish Black Roof, Sizzling Red with Bluish Black Roof, Nexa Blue, Sizzling Red, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White.
