Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its much-awaited 5-door SUV Jimny in India next month. Since its debut at the Auto Expo event earlier this year, its pre-bookings have been open. Maruti has already started production of Jimny at its factory in Gurugram. One of the main competitors of Maruti Suzuki Jimny in the market is Force Gurkha. Maruti Suzuki Jimny vs Force Gurkha: Dimensions
Maruti Suzuki Jimny is 3985mm in length. The Gurkha Force is slightly ahead of that. Its length is 4116 mm. Even in width, Jimny is slightly behind. Its width is 1645 mm but in case of Force Gurkha it is 1812 mm. The height and wheelbase of this Maruti car are 1720 mm and 2590 mm respectively. Force Gurkha on the other hand has a height of 2075 mm and wheelbase length of 2400 mm. And the ground clearance is 205 mm. Compared to that, the five-door Jimny is slightly ahead. It has a ground clearance of 210 mm.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny vs Force Gurkha: Engine Specifications
A 1.5-litre regular petrol engine provides all the power to propel the Maruti Jimny. Power and torque output from this engine are 105 PS and 134 Nm respectively. Comes with five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission system.
On the other hand, the Force Gurkha uses a more powerful 2.6-litre turbo engine, but only the diesel option is available. This engine produces a maximum power of 92 PS and a torque of 250 Nm. Only five-speed manual gearbox is available in this case. However, both the cars are available in four wheel drive option.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny vs Force Gurkha: Price
Maruti has not yet announced the price of the five-door Jimny. However, experts believe that its ex-showroom price will be between Tk 10 lakh and Tk 14 lakh. The Force Gurkha, on the other hand, is only available for purchase in one variant. Its ex-showroom price is Tk 14.75 lakh.
