Maruti Suzuki Fronx was launched in India in April last year. It has gained a lot of popularity as a crossover SUV within a short period of time. Maruti Suzuki Fronx is sold in India with a 1.0-litre turbo engine in a mild hybrid option, but in Australia it will come with a bigger engine. That is, 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. With 12 volt battery. The car can be optioned with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. Swift was recently launched in the Australian market. However, unlike the Fronx, this car is not manufactured and exported in India. Rather, Suzuki is directly producing in Japan, exporting to Australia and selling it.
Suzuki to launch more hybrid cars in Australia
Suzuki is reluctant to slow down its pace with the launch of Swift and Fronx in Australia. Rather, the company is determined to impress the buyers of that country by bringing hybrid technology cars one after another. That list includes Vitara and S-Cross SUVs. These two cars of hybrid technology will enter the market within the next year.
Both the above cars in Europe are available in mild-hybrid and full-hybrid versions. The second can run entirely on electric power. It has very low fuel consumption. A lot of mileage is available.
