Maruti Suzuki Jimny was launched in India in June last year. This off-road vehicle is yet to become popular in the market as such. Sales are also very low. So Maruti dealers give huge discount on the car every month to attract buyers. Only 274 Jimnys were sold in June. So the amount of discount has been increased to Rs 2.5 lakh in July. It may sound surprising but it is true.
Two and a half lakh rupees discount on Maruti Jimny in July
According to media sources, Maruti is giving so much discount to clear the stock. Maruti Suzuki Nexa was offering a benefit of Rs 1.5 lakh last month. It has been increased by another Rs 1 lakh this month. The top model Alfa is available to buy at a discount of Rs 2.5 lakh. This offer is applicable on both manual and automatic variants.
Out of the total discount, Rs 1 lakh is cash discount and the remaining Rs 1.5 lakh is being offered as a professional offer through Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance. On the other hand, the entry-level trim Maruti Jimny Jetta is available with a discount of Rs 2 lakh. Out of which Rs 1 lakh is cash discount and the rest is for Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance customers. It should be noted that the on-road price of the car, excluding discounts, ranges from Tk 14.91 lakh to Tk 17.47 lakh.
Maruti Jimny is available in only one engine option. The 1.5 liter petrol engine produces 103 bhp and 134.2 Nm of torque. Special features include cruise control, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, hill descent control, rear parking camera, etc.
