Maruti Suzuki Fronx is a new entrant in the Indian SUV market. This time, Maruti Suzuki has started the process of sending this compact model to foreign markets. In the first batch, 556 models of the car were shipped. From Mumbai’s Mundra and Pipabhav ports, Fronx will sail to countries in the Middle East and Africa, including Latin America.
Maruti Suzuki started exporting Fronx
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is available with a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. Its output is 100 PS / 147.6 Nm of torque. It is available in both transmission options – 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. Let it be known here that this is the only car of the company, which is available with turbo petrol engine.
Again the car is powered by a 1.2 liter NA petrol motor. From which 90 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque are available. It comes with a choice of five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 43,404 units of utility vehicles in June. The Indo-Japanese company witnessed a 130 percent growth in sales in June this year as against 18,860 units in the same period last year.
Maruti Suzuki’s new and updated models are credited for this huge uptick in sales. Among which – Fronx, Jimny, Grand Vitara, S-Cross, XL6 and Ertiga can be named. Meanwhile, this week the company has launched its biggest ever MPV model Invicto. Meanwhile, the agency claims that the booking has crossed 6,200. It is the rebadged model of Toyota Innova Hycross.
