Mahindra & Mahindra (Mahindra Mahindra) has won the hearts of buyers by launching SUV models in India. This time the evidence was found in his hands. The Scorpio maker has announced that its flagship SUV XUV700 has crossed 1 lakh unit sales in the country. The 100,000th model has already been delivered. Mahindra also said that the car has crossed this milestone in terms of sales within just 20 months of its launch. In that case it has earned the title of their fastest selling SUV.
Mahindra XUV700 sales milestone
Mahindra said the car managed to sell 50,000 units within 12 months of its launch. The remaining 50,000 sales figure was touched in just 8 months. The company added that sales of the last 50,000 units were faster than the car’s planned annual production rate for next year. The XUV700 has already won titles like ‘2022 Indian Car of the Year’, the company mentioned. MG Hector has overtaken rivals like Tata Safari in popularity.
Mahindra XUV700 Engine & Transmission
The XUV700 can be optioned with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Its output is 200 HP and 380 Nm of torque. The car is also available with a 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine. With two types of output to choose from. One with 155 hp and 360 Nm of torque and the other with 185 hp and 420 Nm of torque. It is available with 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic gearbox. It can also be purchased in an all-wheel drive unit. Which is available only on diesel models of AX7 and AX7L.
Mahindra XUV700 waiting period reduced
Earlier the waiting period of Mahindra XUV700 was 13 months. That is, the buyers had to wait 1 year and 1 month to get the car keys after booking. Due to increase in production which is currently reduced to 3-4 months. Apart from this, other SUV models that the company has in stock are – Thar, XUV300, Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, Bolero Neo and Bolero. Again, Mahindra has recently reported crossing the milestone of 9 lakh sales of their Scorpio in the country.
