BSNL, India's only state-owned telecom operator, is slowly making a comeback in the telecom industry. The company has now launched a Jio-like recharge plan with a 336-day validity to directly compete with the country's largest telecom giant and attract customers. Although, BSNL does not yet offer 5G data facilities like Jio, but with this plan they are offering 4G data. Let's know what benefits are available in this plan of BSNL.
BSNL's 336 days affordable recharge plan
BSNL's 336 long term plan is priced at Rs 1,449. And it includes unlimited voice calling, total 24GB data, 100 SMS per day. However, no additional benefits are provided with this. Customers of this plan can also enjoy free roaming on MTNL network in Delhi and Mumbai.
336 days Jio recharge plan
This Jio plan is priced at Rs 1,899. Here the telecom operator is offering unlimited voice calls across the country, a total of 24 GB data and a total of 3600 SMS for free. Apart from this, customers are also offered free access to Jio TV, Jio Cinema and Jio Cloud.
Comparative discussion of BSNL and Jio plans
A comparative discussion of the two plans will show that the validity, data, calling facilities are the same but the customer will have to spend Rs 400 more for Jio's plan. And while BSNL's plan costs a user Rs 4.5 per day, Jio's plan costs Rs 5.65.
Incidentally, although BSNL is currently launching 4G services in some areas of the country. However, once they launch 4G across the country as promised by the company, they will upgrade this network to 5G within a few days.
