Reels button will replace the Search button from Instagram soon. The Facebook-owned platform has introduced a dedicated reel button for some users globally. Many Instagram users posted a screenshot of this update on their Twitter handle, but the majority of the people don’t like this feature from Instagram.

The Social Media giant appears to be testing a dedicated button for its short video feature to give tough competition to its competitors. Earlier, Users have to open the search tab to access the Reel feature but, The Reels button will directly take users to a random Reels video, after which they can easily swipe to see another video. According to reports, The Explore button has been moved to the top of the Home page, and next to the icon for Direct Messages. Still, It is known as the Search or Discover tab.

Instagram introduced Reels in India instantly after the government banned TikTok and 58 other Chinese apps. The US government also announced a ban on Tiktok and WeChat earlier this month that will come into effect within 45 days of the announcement. After Ban of Tiktok, many companies introduced their short video platform such as MX Takatak, recently launched Zee5 HiPi and more. Many platforms also got millions of users but still, none of them established as the decent alternative of Tiktok in India.

However, Instagram has not made any statement about Reels button feature or when it would be rolled out for every Instagram user. What are your thoughts on Reels button, are you in favour or against it? Let me know in the comment section.
