Impersonating someone is no longer a crime in this digital age of superfast internet. All social media or other apps are copying each other. Tech firm Meta is also walking that path. Meta has been copying features of other apps for some time now. Now a new feature is coming for Instagram which is a copy of Snapchat's feature.
With this new feature of Instagram users can share text, photo or video with their current location. It will be visible in their post i.e. text, photo or video and location will be visible in the post together.
This upcoming Instagram feature is a copy of Snapchat's Snap Maps feature, which was launched in 2017. According to reports, this map feature of Instagram will come with privacy settings.
Users will have freedom of control while using Instagram's map feature. That is, they will allow anyone to see the location. For example, a user will be able to choose close friends or just follower options for their location.
This feature of Instagram is currently being tested which means beta users can use it. No word yet on when it will be available for everyone.
