Indigenous technology to reduce pollution, startup gets Rs 3.9 crore from Indian government

Electric vehicle startup Creatara has announced that it has received a grant of Rs 3.9 crore from the Government of India. The funding has been provided by the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries under the 'Capital Good Scheme' to work on indigenous technologies. Notably, they have already made headlines by displaying concept models of two electric scooters named VS4 and VM4. However, the creators have not launched them yet.

Commenting on the Centre's support, Creatara CEO Vikas Gupta said, “This grant is a testament to the Creatara team's dedication to hard work. We are honored to receive this grant from the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries. Which will keep us motivated in the renaissance of electric two-wheelers in the market.”

Incidentally, Creatara was founded by two students of IIT Delhi, Vikas Gupta and Pamey Ringler. The first two electric scooters they showed were concept models VS4 and VM4. It is promised to have various convenient features. Based on the modular platform, the two models feature long travel suspension, high ground clearance, purpose built panels, GPS tracking, hill friendly navigation etc.

The startup company claims that their concept model can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The maximum speed of Creatara VS4 and Creatara VM4 is 100 km per hour. Even the batteries of these two models with a range of 100 km will be fully charged in 4-5 hours.
