Hyundai Motor India has started exporting the Exter car made in India. The Indian arm of the South Korean auto giant has announced the export of this popular micro SUV to South Africa. With this, a total of eight Hyundai made-in-India passenger cars are currently being exported to Africa.
The first batch of 996 Hyundai Exters has been shipped to South Africa. Incidentally, the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20, i20 N Line, Venue, Venue N Line and Alcazar cars made in India are in huge demand there. Exter's sales in India touched 1 lakh units within a year of its launch.
6.13 lakh rupees is spent to buy Hyundai Exeter in this market. However, the top model with advanced features is priced at Rs 10.43 lakh (ex-showroom). Recently Hi-CNG (dual cylinder CNG) and Knight Edition of the car were launched in India. The company believes that the inclusion of these two models will help boost sales.

Moreover, 2024 is a milestone year for us as it marks 20 years of our exports to South Africa.”
