About 5 years ago, the Central Road Transport and Highway Ministry launched the registration plate of the Series (BH) series in 2021. Basically, the service was launched to ease the transport-transport car registration process for defense workers and transferred government employees. The purpose is to make the transfer simply simplified.
There are many government employees who have to travel to multiple states for employment. But, in all states, the registration of the car is not possible separately, so this initiative is to make the whole process easier. However, not only government, private sector employees who have branches in more than four states or union governance areas can also apply for BH registration for personal vehicles.
Online application
The person who is buying the car has to fill out an online application in Form 20 on the vehicle portal on behalf of the dealer. From there the application process for BH registration began. In this case, the dealer will have to choose the type of series as the Indian series or BH series for the car registration.
Documents and costs
During the online application process on the vehicle portal, the dealer will have to submit a functional certificate for the car buyer. It should be included in the document like Form 3 or official identity card. After all the submission, the specific fee or motor vehicle tax money must be made online. Now to get the registration plate of the BH series, the car owners will initially pay taxes for two years.
RTO Authorization
When all the process is completed, the vehicle 1.5 portal will issue a BH series number. Then the concerned RTO BH will give final approval to the series. The registration of the BH series will be completed after approval.
