Honor Play 5 launch date has been confirmed by the company officially through a teaser poster that also revealed the overall design of the smartphone. Earlier some reports also tipped the overall specifications and design of the device. The smartphone will feature a U-shaped notch display, quad rear camera setup, MediaTek 5G chipset, and more.

Honor Play 5 will feature a 6.53 inches OLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. The smartphone will come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U octa-cores chipset coupled with Arm Mali G57 MC3 GPU. The phone will have a thickness of 7.46mm and will weigh 179 grams.
In terms of camera, the phone will boast a quad rear camera but earlier reports suggested a triple rear camera and the camera module earlier is different from the official renders. The device will include a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an ultrawide secondary sensor, and may be a macro and depth. For selfies, the phone will sport a 16-megapixel front facing camera under the U shape notch.
The Honor Play 5 will pack a 3800mah battery and may support 66W fast charging as well. The phone has a volume rocker and power button on the right side while a sim card slot on the left edge. However, the company hasn’t confirmed any specifications yet but as the Honor Play 5 launching on May 18 in China and ahead of launch company will tease key specifications.
