Along with high power and high speed motorcycles, there is a demand for mini bikes with relatively low power. For those who are not aware, the question may arise, what is this mini bike? In this context, small wheels, small two-wheelers are also termed as mini bikes. Honda Navi was once introduced in the Indian market in that segment. Many people still use it today. This time, Honda has unveiled a new version of such a compact mini motorcycle. Named 2024 Honda Grom.
2024 Honda Grom unveiled
Honda currently sells the Groom model in several international markets. It first hit the market in 2014. Small yet attractive design is hugely popular in the market. This time, the company has removed the curtain on the new version of the model in the Japanese market. Along with the design update, new color options have been added.
The Honda Grom features a new head lamp cluster and a beefed-up fuel tank with sleek brushed steel accents. The rear design has been kept as before. It is available in two color options – Pearl Horizon White and Matte Gunpowder Black.
In terms of hardware, the Honda Grom is built on a steel mono-backbone frame. A 124 cc air cooled engine is provided as the power source. It will produce 10 bhp of power and 11.1 Nm of torque. The motor has a five step gear. There are USD forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Both wheels have disc brakes.
Now the issue is, will Honda launch Grom in India? In answer to this question, they have no plans to launch this model in India for now. However, it is estimated that the rate at which the demand for two-wheelers in various segments is increasing in the country, the company may decide to bring it in the future.
