Day by day, people’s demand for advanced features in vehicles is increasing. The situation has come to such a point that nowadays buyers expect features paid for in cars in bikes and scooters. Companies are also trying hard to fulfill that. For example, the current Honda Activa scooter has appeared with H-Smart technology. It has various hi-fi features. This time, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India or HMSI is going to launch another scooter with the same technology. That is Dio. While nothing has been announced about the official launch, the price of Honda Dio H-Smart has been revealed on the company’s website in India.
Honda Dio H-Smart: Price and Features
According to the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India website, the top-end variant of the DO H-Smart has been priced at Rs 77,712 (ex-showroom). Honda has also increased the prices of other variants of the DO. Currently the price of the base model (STD OBD2) starts at Rs 70,211 and the DLX OBD2 will cost Rs 74,212 (ex-showroom).
Honda has already started accepting bookings for their new DO. However, Honda has not yet revealed the details of the scooter’s features. It is speculated to have alloy wheels, fuel efficient tires and a smart key. Currently every variant of the scooter is available with tubeless tires along with steel wheels.
Every feature matches the Smart Key. Such as anti-theft system, which will protect the scooter from theft. To activate it, push the button while in range and rotate the knob. Again the engine can be started by pressing the start/stop switch. Other features may include LED headlights with LED DRLs, front pockets, under seat storage, external fuel filler cap, passing switch etc.
Powering the Honda Dio H-Smart is a 109.51 cc air-cooled engine. It produces 765 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. Presumably, there will be no changes to the suspension and braking hardware of the scooter. It may have telescopic front forks and three-step adjustable spring-loaded hydraulic rear shock absorbers. Front and rear can get 130 mm drum brakes to handle the braking duties.
