India’s middle class is reeling from skyrocketing petrol-diesel prices. Among them, the announcement of price increase by the car companies is appearing as poison on the milk. Hero MotoCorp (Hero MotoCorp), the country’s largest and most renowned two-wheeler manufacturer, is named in the list. The domestic company is increasing the two-wheeler prices by around 1.5% from today i.e. the first day of July. However, the amount of price hike will vary depending on the model. It may be noted that earlier in April, Hero had opted for a price hike citing the implementation of OBD2 emission norms across the country.
Hero two-wheeler prices increased
In a statement released this time, the company said that the increase in the prices of motorcycles and scooters is part of the regular revision of their fixed prices. Besides, behind this there are some business obligations, increase in input cost etc. However, Hero is planning to introduce various attractive financing options to lighten the burden of this cost increase from the shoulders of the buyers.
Hero MotoCorp announced the price hike on the eve of the festive season in the country. However, they are quite optimistic about increasing the sales of their bikes and scooters in this monsoon season. The demand for two-wheelers in the country has been seen to increase in rural areas. According to Hero, like other years, the two-wheeler industry will witness an increase in sales on the eve of the festival.
Recently, Hero MotoCorp re-launched the Passion Plus in the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment in India. Also introduced as a premium commuter bike is the Xtreme 160 4V. Again this year they are looking forward to bring more premium bikes. The list includes Hero Karizma XMR 210 and Harley-Davidson X440 (jointly developed with Hero).
