India’s leading two-wheeler company Hero MotoCorp is working on a new 440 cc motorcycle. It may be launched in the market by 2024. The new model may be named Hero Xtreme 440R. A recent report has made such a claim. The new model will be powered by the X440 engine developed in a joint venture between Hero Motocorp and Harley Davidson.
Hero Xtreme 440R is likely to be launched next year
Needless to say, the Hero Xtreme 440R comes as a premium bike. It competes in the market with KTM Duke 390, Royal Enfield Himalayan and Husqvarna Vitpilen 401. The bike has an aggressive design and state-of-the-art components. The list of features includes premium digital instrument cluster, LED headlights and alloy wheels with impeccable design.
Hero Xtreme 440R Probable Price and Features
Sources claim that the Extreme 440R has been unveiled to a select few buyers. But it was shown without any branding or name. The report also states that the new motorcycle will be manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s Manesar plant in India. The price is likely to be Rs 2 to 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
Incidentally, Hero MotoCorp is currently working on three new platforms for the new motorcycle. The first platform is the Karizma XMR 210 with a 210 cc liquid cooled engine. The second platform is the Harley Davidson X440 with a 440 cc air cooled engine. And number three is a 420 cc liquid cooled engine, which will be used in the new bike in Hero’s lineup.
Meanwhile, the country’s largest two-wheeler company is about to launch a new 250 cc motorcycle along with the development of the Hero Xtreme 440R. It is expected to be launched in the market this year itself. By introducing these models, it is clear that the company will make competition in the premium segment tougher.
