Hero MotoCorp has launched the Splendor with disc brakes for the first time. India's largest two-wheeler company today announced the launch of the new Splendor Plus Xtec. It has added disc brakes as a hardware update. The price is pegged at Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom). On the other hand, if you want to buy drum brakes, it will cost Rs 79,911. This is also ex-showroom price.
Apart from disc brakes, the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec doesn't get any upgrades. Design, engine, features all remain unchanged. Hero Splendor has been ruling India's roads for decades. No other two-wheeler has the strength to match it. Hence it has held the title of India's best selling motorcycle for years.

Let us know that the latest version of Hero Splendor Plus is Extech. It first hit the market in March last year. And the new 2.0 version was launched in India in April this year. It has modern features like LED DRLs, full digital instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, and USB charging port.

The hardware setup of the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec is very basic. Suspension is provided with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, while earlier there was a drum brake at the front, the new model will have a disc brake in its place. The rear will get drum brakes as before. This motorcycle will run on alloy wheels.
