Google Kormo Jobs App finally announced in India with lakhs of verified jobs opportunities

Google Kormo Jobs App has been launched in India to help Job seekers with lakhs of verified job opportunities. In April 2018, Google partnered with very well known job portals including Aasaanjobs, Freshersworld, Headhonchos, IBM Talent Management Solutions, LinkedIn, Quezx, and Shine to introduce job opportunities to its search engine in India.

Google launches its Kormo Jobs opportunities in India. Kormo Jobs allows users to discover recommended jobs on the basis of your profile and apply for suitable skills. It also helps to provide tools to update user career and add new skills to their profile. It was initially launched in Bangladesh back in 2018. After that, this initiative was expanded to Indonesia in 2019.

Google kormo Jobs allows users to create their digital Curriculum Vitae (CV) by providing certain details that can be shared or printed through the application. It shows Google’s latest effort to connect the lakhs of job seekers.

Last year, Google introduced an initial experience of Kormo Jobs to the Indian market with the Jobs Spot section on Google Pay while Google is now changing the Jobs Spot on Google Pay to Kormo Jobs to offer a consistent experience for users. According to Google post, Bickey Russell, Regional Manager, and Operations Lead, said: “We will continue to invest in it with new features and jobs so that its users can continue to benefit its convenience”.

Google said that with Google Pay integration, employers including Dunzo and Zomato were able to post over 20 lakh verified jobs. However, the company has not shared any details about how many people were able to receive employment from those listings.

Jobs Spot on Google Pay was initially introduced for entry-level positions but with Kormo Jobs, the company may go beyond entry-level positions to compete with LinkedIn as well as India job portals including Naukri, Shine.com, and TimesJobs.

Kormo job App could also make the competition tougher for organized advertising platforms Quickr and Olx that have dedicated job listings to cater to job seekers.
