WhatsApp is going to bring another new feature. The new feature will allow users to control unread messages in the Android app. The number of unread messages will automatically reset every time you open the app.
As reported by WABetaInfo, this feature was spotted in the WhatsApp beta version of Android 2.24.11.13. However, as it is still under testing, not all beta testers registered through the Google Play Beta Program may have access to it.
As per the screenshot shared in the report, new settings option has been added to remove unread messages. As a result, every time the messaging app is opened, the number of unread messages will be reset. This will result in the user's peace of mind (the pressure of accumulating more messages).
Note that users who receive a large number of text messages on WhatsApp throughout the day may find it difficult to manage chats. Also, users who belong to more than one group may also have trouble handling additional messages. But to solve this problem, the popular messaging platform is going to come up with this new feature.
