Realme 12 Pro series debuted in the Indian market on January 29. The Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ models under this lineup were made available for purchase in the country from February 6 through e-commerce site Flipkart, the company’s website and offline stores. Let it be known that both the models of the series were being bought with Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige color options till now. But during the launch event, the company announced that the higher-end Realme 12 Pro+ model will come with a special color shade named ‘Explorer Red’, which will be available for purchase from February 9. As promised, the sale of Realme 12 Pro+ Explorer Red variant has started today.

The Realme 12 Pro+ Explorer Red smartphone is priced similar to the other color variants. That is, its 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variants can be purchased for Tk 29,999, Tk 31,999 and Tk 33,999 respectively.
Specifications and features of Realme 12 Pro+ Explorer Red
All the specifications of the new Explorer Red color option brought for the Realme 12 Pro+ smartphone remain similar to the original variant. The handset has a 6.67-inch Full HD Plus (2412×1080 pixels) curved OLED display with a faux leather back panel. The display design is punch-hole (centered) style and supports 120 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, 2160 Hz WM dimming, 950 nits peak brightness and 10-bit panel. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 processor to deliver better performance. This phone runs on the latest Android 14 based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin.
The Realmle 12 Pro+ smartphone has an oversized camera ring module on the back, inspired by luxury watches. Three cameras are present in this module. These are – 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS, 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto shooter with OIS and 3x zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide unit. Meanwhile, the device has a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Furthermore, the handset packs a 5,000mAh capacity battery, which supports 67W wired charging. Finally, the phone will feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor and a dual stereo speaker system with Dolby Atmos technology. The handset is 8.75 mm thick and weighs around 196 grams.
Incidentally, the CEO of the European branch of Realme company, Francis Wang (Francis Wang) has confirmed the launch of Transparent Edition for the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G smartphone in Halifax. However, the name of the device or regional availability is still uncertain. However, the post shared by Francis seems to suggest that this special edition of the phone may be available in limited quantities in select markets.
