There are speculations that Xiaomi will soon launch a new foldable smartphone under its Mix series. The company has launched two foldable phones so far – Xiaomi Mix Fold and Mix Fold 2. But none of these devices have come to India. The brand is currently gearing up for the launch of the next generation Mix Fold 3 However, Xiaomi has not revealed any information about this upcoming foldable model yet. But before that, a tipster has leaked the design and hardware specifications of Xiaomi Mix Fold 3. It is known that it will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series flagship processor. Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 specifications leaked
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 may be launched later this year. This foldable phone will compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Oppo Find N2. Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the Mix Fold 3 will launch with a white curved glass body. The device will feature a quad rear camera system along with some top-of-the-line specifications. The Xiaomi phone will also feature a new waterdrop design hinge for the foldable display, which is also said to be seen in the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5. According to the tipster, the Mix Fold 3 will offer the same slim and lightweight design as its predecessor.
Digital Chat Station also reported that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will also support 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. However, nothing is known about its battery capacity yet. Incidentally, the predecessor Mix Fold 2 was launched with a 4,500 mAh battery.
For photography, the quad rear camera setup of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is said to feature two zoom camera sensors. One of the two sensors will offer 3.2x optical zoom, while the periscope lens will offer 5x zoom. The other two sensors are expected to capture wide and ultra-wide shots. Despite this information, the display size of the Mix Fold 3 remains unknown for now.
Let us know that Xiaomi launched the Mix Fold 2 in August last year. The Mix Fold 3 is also likely to launch around the same time this year. The predecessor model has an 8.2-inch foldable 2K AMOLED display and a 6.56-inch cover display. Both displays offer a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera sensor on the back, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x zoom. And on the front of the phone, a 20-megapixel front camera is present. For power backup, a 4,500 mAh battery powers the Mix Fold 2 and it also has a dual speaker setup for audio.
