This month has been quite busy for Vivo. Because this popular brand has launched a bunch of new smartphones in the Chinese and global markets. These include Vivo Y36, Vivo Y35m and Vivo Y78. Also, the company is set to launch the premium S17 series in China today (May 31). This lineup will be rebranded as Vivo V29 in the international market. But ahead of this launch event now, a new Vivo Y-series model called Vivo Y27 has been spotted on the Google Play Console site, revealing some of its key specifications. Let’s find out about them.
Vivo Y27 may be launched soon as the rebranded version of Vivo Y36
Vivo Y27 with model number V2248 is listed on the Google Play Console website. This is the same model number as the recently launched Vivo Y36, indicating that the Y27 is likely to be a rebranded version of the same phone. The certification listing reveals that the upcoming handset will be powered by a MediaTek MT6833 processor.
The processor was previously called Dimension 700, but now it may be called Dimension 6020 due to MediaTek’s new naming policy. The chip has two performance cores running at 2.2 GHz and six efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. And for graphics it has a Mali G57 GPU attached to it.
Also according to the listing on Google Play Console, the Vivo Y27 will come with 6GB of RAM and will run on the latest Android 13 operating system. But apart from these, other details of the device are not known yet. But if this is indeed the rebranded version of the Vivo Y36 5G, then it is expected to feature a 6.44-inch LCD panel with FullHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
For photography, the rear panel of the Vivo Y27 houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an LED flash and a 2-megapixel depth lens. And for selfies, the phone may have a 16-megapixel sensor on the front.
