The Vivo V30 series of smartphones have been in the market for a while now. However, there are already rumors floating around the internet about the next generation V40 lineup. As such, the Vivo V40 SE model was recently spotted on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) and GCF certification platform. And now, some renders of the smartphone have surfaced revealing the design. The report also reveals the core specifications of the Vivo V40 SE.
Vivo V40 SE renders and specifications leaked
Apples has shared some renders of the Vivo V40 SE in their report. According to this image, the design of the upcoming phone is quite different from its predecessor Vivo V30 series. But the recently launched Vivo Y200e 5G is surprisingly similar. Notably, the blue color option of the V40 SE looks similar. It can also come in light purple shade.
But not only the design, the specifications of the Vivo V40 SE don’t seem to be much different from the Y200E. The phone will also feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset as the Y series handsets, coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The phone is likely to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display on the front, which is likely to have FullHD+ (2400×1080 pixels) resolution and 120 Hertz will offer refresh rates.
In terms of cameras, the Vivo V40 SE will have a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel lens for portrait or macro shots. And on the front, a 16-megapixel selfie camera will probably be located. It will also feature an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for security.
In terms of power backup, the Vivo V40 SE will be powered by a 5000mAh battery with 44W charging support and the phone is likely to offer an IP54 rated water and dust resistant chassis. Other possible features of the device include microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C 2.0 and GPU. Looking at these, all possible specifications of Vivo V40 SE seem to be similar to Vivo Y200e. So the V-series phone is likely to be a rebranded version of the Y-series model.
Vivo V40 SE Price and Launch Date (Expected)
Reports suggest that the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model of the Vivo V40 SE will be priced between 250 to – 300 Euros (roughly Rs. 22,570 – Rs. 27,100). Although the official launch date of the phone is yet to be revealed, the renders show a UEFA Euro 2024 wallpaper, with Vivo as the official smartphone brand. The Champions League will start on June 14, so Vivo V40 SE is expected to be launched by then.
