Vivo S19 series smartphones have finally been officially launched. The latest lineup includes both the standard Vivo S19 and Vivo S19 Pro models. These are the successors to the Vivo S18 and Vivo S18 Pro phones that debuted in December last year with new designs and incremental upgrades. While the Vivo S19 and Vivo S19 Pro handsets share the same display, charging speed, and RAM and storage capacity, there are several differences between the two models. Vivo S19 series specifications
The Vivo S19 and Vivo S19 Pro feature a 6.78-inch OLED screen, offering 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness. Both phones have in-screen fingerprint scanners. The standard model features a flat panel, while the Pro phone's display has curved edges. Design-wise, the rear panel of the Vivo S29 handsets has a pill-shaped island. It features a circular module at the top and another rectangular module at the bottom. The Vivo S19 Pro phone has IP68 and IP69 dust and water-resistant rated chassis.
For photography, the Vivo S19 features dual rear cameras with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On the other hand, the Vivo S19 Pro phone has a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel telephoto unit with 50x digital zoom. Both the phones offer ring LED flash light. The Vivo S19 series phones offer a 50-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The devices are capable of shooting portraits at up to three focal lengths and the Pro variant also offers an 85mm capability.
For performance, the Vivo S19 phone uses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor as its predecessor. Meanwhile, the Vivo S19 Pro model is also powered by the same chipset as the S18 Pro handset, namely the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+. Both the phones will get 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. For power backup, the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro models have upgraded 6,000 mAh and 5,500 mAh battery units respectively. Both support 80W wired charging. These smartphones run on OriginOS 4 custom skin based on Android 14 operating system.

In the Chinese market, the base 8GB + 256GB version of the Vivo S19 series is priced at 2,499 yuan (approx. 29,310) and the higher 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB storage variants are priced at 2 ,699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 31,660), 2,999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 34,540) and 3,299 Yuan (approx. Rs. 38,000).
On the other hand, the same versions of Vivo S19 Pro phones are priced at CNY 3,299 (approx. Rs. 38,700), CNY 3,499 (approx. Rs. 41,040), CNY 3,799 (approx. Rs. 44,555), and CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs. 46,900) respectively. . The Vivo S19 series handsets are available in Blue, Grey, Peach (Standard) and Green (Pro) color options. Vivo has not yet confirmed whether this lineup will come to the global market.
