Vivo is gearing up for the launch of their flagship Vivo X200 series of devices. The series will include the standard Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 Ultra models. Periscope telephoto cameras of this series are now known ahead of launch.
Vivo is expected to unveil the Vivo X200 series of smartphones in China next month. The Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro are expected to hit the market in October this year, while the Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to launch in the first half of 2025. And today, reliable tipster digital chat station Vivo X200 series has shared information about the Periscope telephoto camera.
The Vivo X200 series will have a 200-megapixel periscope camera
The tipster shared details about the upcoming handset's Periscope telephoto camera in a Weibo post by digital chat station. While not naming the device, the emoji used in the post suggests that he is talking about a Vivo X200 series phone.
The Vivo X200 Pro is speculated to feature a 200-megapixel sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, f/2.67 aperture and an 85mm focal length. It will feature the same Samsung S5KHP9 periscope telephoto camera, which is currently available on the Vivo X100 Ultra. However, it is not clear from the tipster whether only the Vivo X200 Pro phone will have the same periscope camera as the Vivo X100 Ultra, or the successor Vivo X200 Ultra will also see it.
The report claims that the standard Vivo X200 will be a compact flagship smartphone, featuring a 6.4-inch or 6.5-inch flat OLED panel. On the other hand, recent reports have indicated that the Vivo X200 Pro model will feature a larger OLED screen with micro-curves on all four sides. Like the Vivo X200 phone, the Pro model will also support 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro phones are expected to feature the MediaTek Dimension 9400 chipset.
On the other hand, the Vivo X200 Ultra phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. It will offer a 2K OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Currently, there is no clear information available about other specifications of the device.
