Recently a new Vivo phone with model number V2410A has been approved by China's 3C (CCC) certification platform. This smartphone is expected to be launched as Vivo Y300 Pro 5G. The upcoming handset was also recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking database, hinting at its imminent launch. Now finally Vice President of Vivo Brand and General Manager of Brand & Product Strategy Division, Xia Xingdong has confirmed the launch date, some notable specifications and design of the Vivo Y300 Pro model. Let's take a look at them.
Vivo Y300 Pro 5G Phone Launch Schedule, Specifications and Design
Vivo Y300 Pro will be launched in the Chinese market on September 5, 7 pm (local time). Vice President Jia Jingdong said the device is the latest addition to the Vivo Y series, which has earned a reputation for being durable, user-friendly and widely popular with more than 30 million users worldwide. The device epitomizes Vivo's “decentralizing” strategy, where advanced features typically found in flagship phones are introduced to the Y series, making it highly competitive in its price segment. However, the upcoming Vivo Y300 Pro takes a step further with a “leapfrogging” strategy. It will come with the latest and most powerful features even before they appear in the flagship models, ensuring a significant upgrade in user experience.
Also, the company's latest display technology will be unveiled with the Vivo Y300 Pro 5G handset, which will offer a 6.77-inch micro-quad-curved OLED (OLED) screen. The display will offer an ultra-bright 5,000 nits brightness level, making the screen ideal for use under sunlight. The display is designed with eye protection in mind, and will include technologies such as blue light filtering and anti-strobe features. Both the National Ophthalmology Engineering Center and SGS have awarded it certification for eye protection. In terms of durability, the Vivo Y300 is SGS-certified for drop resistance, dustproof and waterproof capabilities.
A major highlight of the Vivo Y300 Pro phone is its 6,500 mAh Blue Ocean battery, which offers up to 12.1 hours of gaming time on a single charge. Despite its massive battery, the phone remains incredibly thin at 7.69mm and is designed to last five years. It supports 80W wired charging, wireless charging and reverse charging. Vivo's innovative Extreme Graphite technology achieves this high power efficiency by optimizing the battery's structure for maximum capacity without increasing its size.
The rear camera setup of the Vivo Y300 Pro includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, while a 32-megapixel front-facing camera will do the trick for selfies. In terms of design and camera capabilities, the Vivo Y300 Pro model will feature the flagship design language with a Z ring lens module and a 360 degree sun texture.
The phone will also enhance the popular “Carrier Mode”, which is now in its second generation and is designed for professional use by riders with features such as enhanced hands-free calls, improved network optimization and intelligent assistance during delivery tasks. The Vivo Y300 Pro will be available in four different kalee options like Titanium, Gold Inlaid Jade, Mutton Fat White and Black Jade Black.
Also, benchmark platform Geekbench revealed that the Vivo Y300 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and Android 14 OS. The device is the successor to last year's Vivo Y200 Pro phone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.
