Samsung usually launches its flagship foldable smartphones in the second half of the year. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 entered the global market in October last year. Similarly, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 are slated to launch around the same time this year. Samsung fans are already curious about what new features and technologies these flagships are going to bring. And now a tipster has shared some important specifications and upgrades of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 on social media in an effort to quell this curiosity.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is coming with multiple upgrades
Tipster Anthony claims in his X (formerly known as Twitter) post that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have a 3.9-inch cover display. If the information is correct, it will be a noticeable improvement over the 3.4-inch cover display of the current generation Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, the primary display inside is likely to be the same 6.7-inch as the previous model.
Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is expected to power the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. Notably, Samsung is expected to offer a 12GB RAM variant in the upcoming model. Where the current generation flip smartphone is available with a maximum of 8 GB of RAM. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is said to offer a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. However, the tipster has not revealed any information about the front camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to have a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh compared to the current model’s 3,700 mAh. Samsung is expected to offer seven years of OS upgrades and Galaxy AI features on this flagship as well.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Launch Date (Possible)
The tipster did not mention the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 in his post. However, it is rumored that Samsung is planning to hold the next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, which will be earlier than usual. Even the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Watch 7 series and Galaxy Ring are also expected to be launched at the event.
