Oppo today launched a new mid-range smartphone in its home market. The new Oppo A3 Pro model is IP69, IP68, and IP66 certified. Due to which it is completely waterproof, even hot water, submersion, and water splashes will not damage the device. Also, Oppo A3 Pro is the company’s first smartphone to be Swiss SGS Gold Label 5-start drop resistance certified. Also passed the National Military Standard Impact Resistance Test. That’s why this new Oppo handset is drop and scratch resistant. The front and back panels of the device have crystal glass protection developed by the company. The new Oppo A3 Pro handset features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display panel, which supports Full HD Plus resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 950 nits peak brightness. It uses a MediaTek Dimension 7050 processor to deliver good performance, coupled with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This phone also supports virtual RAM feature up to 12 GB. Android 14 based ColorOS 14 custom skin is pre-loaded as operating system. In-screen fingerprint sensor will be available for security.
The Oppo A3 Pro smartphone has a dual camera unit on the back panel. These cameras are – 64 megapixel primary sensor and 2 megapixel depth shooter. Meanwhile, an 8-megapixel selfie camera is provided on the front of the device. In this regard, the front camera supports video shooting in Full HD resolution at a rate of up to 30fps. Again the main rear camera is capable of 4K video recording at a maximum rate of 30fps. Moreover, for connectivity it includes – dual SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and a USB Type-C port. Again for power backup, the Oppo A3 Pro smartphone uses a 5,000mAh capacity battery with 67W fast charging support.

The Oppo A3 Pro smartphone in the Chinese market comes in a total of three storage configurations, namely 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. These variants are priced at 1,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 22,800), 2,199 Yuan (roughly Rs. 25,100) and 2,499 Yuan (roughly Rs. 28,500) respectively. It has been launched with three color shades and two designs, namely – Azure (Glass Back), Mountain Blue (Leather Back), and Yunjin Pink (Leather Back).
It is not yet known when the phone will be available in the global market including India.
