The popularity of the Apple iPhone has grown steadily across the world over the past few years. And according to a recent report by Canalys, the iPhone was a huge success in the smartphone market last year. That’s why Apple occupies several places in the top ten of the list of best-selling smartphones worldwide in 2023.
iPhone 14 Pro Max device has been considered as the best selling device worldwide. And last year 34 million (3.4 crore) units of this device were exported worldwide. Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max is next in terms of exports. It has sold over 33 million (3.3 crore) units.
Meanwhile, iPhone 15 Pro ranked seventh in this list with 21 million (2.1 crore) units sold. And iPhone 15 sold 17 million (1.7 crore) units, the device is in tenth place.
While Apple dominates the high-end market, Samsung continues to thrive in the midrange segment. Because, Samsung Galaxy A14 4G has become the third best selling smartphone globally with 21 million (2.1 crore) units shipped. Also, Galaxy A54 5G, Galaxy A14 5G and Samsung A series devices also made it to the top 10 with admirable performances.
According to IDC data, while Apple shipped 234.6 million smartphones worldwide in 2023, Samy shipped 226.6 million. Incidentally, this is the first time Apple has overtaken Samsung since the launch of the first iPhone in 2008.
