The much awaited Xiaomi 15 is going to be launched on October 23. Today the company released a poster announcing the launch date of the flagship smartphone. It is expected that the screen will be removed from the Xiaomi 15 Pro model on the same day. But the important thing is that the Xiaomi 15 phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Although it was rumored that this device will be launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. As a result, it looks like Qualcomm is going to change the name of their processor series. Earlier we saw Snapdragon X Lite announced for Windows notebooks. Qualcomm has even changed the name of the processor for smartphones.

However, the upcoming Snapdragon 8 series processor is said to be based on the 3nm process node. It will offer 56 percent better GPU performance than the previous processor variant. According to Geekbench, this processor can provide a clock speed of up to 4.47 GHz.

Meanwhile, no other information about Xiaomi 15 has emerged from the poster except for the announcement of the launch date and the use of Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. But earlier it was known that this phone will have 90W fast charging support and Android 15 based HyperOS 2.0 operating system. It will be powered by a 6,000 mAh battery. And Xiaomi 15 will come with IP69 rating, which will protect against water and dust.
