Reportedly, they will come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. On the other hand, the tech giant's sub-brand Redmi will also continue to launch devices at the same pace during this time. The company is likely to unveil the new Redmi K80 series in the Chinese market by November. Various information has been leaked about Redmi K80 Pro, the higher model of the half-filed series. Now, thanks to a tipster, some new details regarding its main features have come forward. The device may launch with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Redmi K80 Pro Smartphone Specifications (Probable)
As claimed by tipster Experience More, the Redmi K80 Pro phone will feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner for security. Notably, the company has launched each of its existing handsets with an optical-type under-display fingerprint scanner. As a result, if this information is true, this will be the first Redmi handset to support ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
The tipster also reported that the rear panel of the upcoming model will feature a telephoto camera that will support up to 3x optical zoom. For comparison's sake, telephoto cameras on previous models only offered 2x optical zoom. So the successor's camera will see a major upgrade.
Earlier reports claimed that the Redmi K80 Pro will feature a flat OLED touch panel with 2K resolution support. It is also believed that the device will be launched with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and a 5,500mAh capacity battery with 120W fast charging support.
Apart from the mentioned information, nothing else is known about the features of the mobile.
But whispers are heard, the Redmi K80 series will come with a completely new rear design compared to its predecessor. In this case, both the standard Redmi K80 and the top-end K80 Pro might offer a glass back design.
Talking about the price, since the upcoming model will be powered by Qualcomm's latest processor and will offer a few significant upgrades, chances are high that it will be launched with an increased selling price. The predecessor Redmi K70 Pro debuted last year with a price tag of 3,299 Yuan (around Rs. 38,600). As a result, the starting price of the upcoming Redmi K80 Pro phone is expected to be around 3,799 Yuan (roughly Rs. 44,400).
