Apple is gearing up to launch its latest iPhone 16 series of smartphones later this year. Various information about the upcoming phones have already been leaked online. And now a display analyst has claimed that production of the iPhone 16 phone will begin in June. This is in line with Apple's normal production schedule for flagship smartphones, which points to the launch of the Apple iPhone 16 series in mid-September. The analyst also predicts that iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will lead the market. Let's get into the details.
Apple iPhone 16 series production starts next month
In addition to announcing the start of production of the Apple iPhone 16 series next month, Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultancy, also shed light on potential sales figures for the iPhone 16 lineup. He predicts that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will lead initial sales, while demand for the Plus models (iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max) may slow initially. But Ross Young points out that this could change next summer, as users prioritize long battery life, which is typically seen in larger phones.
These predictions came with some previously leaked images of the iPhone 16 series models. This led to speculation in tech circles about the return of a vertical camera design in the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models, reminiscent of the iPhone X series. Also, according to the leaked images, the iPhone 16 Pro Max appears to be the largest iPhone yet with a 6.9-inch display, surpassing the current iPhone 15 Pro Max's 6.7-inch display.
