Last May, an unnamed Oppo phone with model number CPH2577 was approved by Indonesia’s TKDN authorities. The device also received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in June. Recently, the device also received certification from the US FCC and TUV Rheinland authorities. However, none of these certifications revealed the final commercial name of the device. But yesterday the device appeared on Thailand’s NBTC certification database, confirming that the said phone will debut as the Oppo A58. Also, let’s take a look at what else the new listing has revealed and what details have surfaced about it so far.
Oppo A58 spotted in FCC database
Oppo unveiled two models in China last year: Oppo A58 5G and Oppo A58X 5G. And recently seen on multiple certification sites with the model number CPH2577, the Oppo phone is actually the 4G version of the Oppo A58. Certifications by TUV Rheinland, Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, India’s BIS, and Indonesia’s TKDN did not reveal any significant details about the device. However, the latest Federal Communications Commission document has revealed some of its key features.
Oppo A58 Specifications (Probable)
The FCC listing of the Oppo A58 reveals that the device will be 7.99 millimeters thick and weigh 191 grams. It has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging It also revealed that Oppo A58 will run ColorOS 13.1 custom skin based on Android 13. Other details of the phone are yet to be revealed. But since it has already received approval from multiple certification sites, it is believed that it won’t be long before the smartphone is launched in markets like India, Indonesia and Thailand.
Note that Oppo recently launched the Oppo Reno 10 series of smartphones in India. The Reno 10 Pro 5G and Reno 10 Pro+ 5G phones have been available for purchase in India since yesterday for Rs 39,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively. And the brand is expected to announce the price of the standard Reno 10 5G on July 20.
