Several Chinese smartphone brands are currently rumored to be gearing up to launch foldable phones with flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors. Vivo X Fold 2 was also launched in China in April with the same chipset. Also, foldables such as the Oppo Find N3, Honor Magic V2 and Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 that will be launched in August are also said to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Meanwhile, the Vivo X Fold 2 comes with wireless charging. However, foldable handsets from Oppo, Honor, and Xiaomi in the market lack wireless charging support. However, sources have revealed that the upcoming foldables from these three brands will feature wireless charging. Various reports have already revealed that Honor Magic V2 and Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will offer wireless charging. And now, a Chinese tipster has revealed that the Oppo Find N3 will also come with wireless charging support.
Oppo Find N3 will come with wireless charging support
A Chinese tipster has revealed that the Oppo Find N3 model will be the company’s first foldable smartphone to support wireless charging. The tipster also said that it will feature a circular camera island similar to the Find X6 series. This information is consistent with previously leaked schematics of the Find N3, which showed a circular camera module design.
According to the leak, the Oppo Find N3 is expected to impress in several areas, including its design, display and battery life. The tipster says that the device will also provide users with a great photography experience. Recent reports suggest that it will have a 32-megapixel front camera on the cover display and a 32-megapixel or 20-megapixel camera on the inner screen. And the rear camera setup of this flagship foldable phone is expected to include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
Oppo Find N3 will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED display on the outside, which will support FullHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. And inside the phone there will be an 8-inch AMOLED 2K (2K) screen with 120 Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. For power backup, the phone will be powered by a 4,805mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Note that OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus Fold foldable phone in the global market in August. The device is likely to come as a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N3, which will be available only in the Chinese market. Hence, the OnePlus Fold may support wireless charging and the aforementioned specifications.
