Tecno entered the foldable smartphone market last March with the Tecno Phantom V Fold. The brand has maintained their specialty in this device as well. That is, not a high-end and expensive foldable phone like other leading brands, Tecno has launched the Phantom V Fold with mid-range hardware at an affordable price. Tecno’s differentiating strategy in the foldable smartphone segment has been quite successful, as the Tecno Phantom V Fold has already received a positive response from consumers and sales are also doing well. Building on this success, Tecno is gearing up to launch a foldable flip smartphone soon, which may debut as the Tecno Phantom V Flip or Phantom V Yoga. It has appeared on the United States’ FCC certification website, which has revealed some important specifications.
Tecno Phantom V Flip/ Yoga got FCC approval
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G with model number AD11 has been listed on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) platform. According to the listing, the phone will be compatible with 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks and will support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Another interesting feature of the Phantom V Flip 5G is its dual battery setup, which consists of two shells with a capacity of 1,165 mAh and 2,735 mAh. This configuration is typical value for a flip phone and will result in the device offering a combined battery capacity of 3,900 mAh.
Also, the FCC listing reveals that the Phantom V Flip 5G will come with a charging adapter with model number U450TSA, which will support fast charging speeds of up to 45W. This same charging adapter is also used in the Tecno Pova 5. But apart from these, no other information about the foldable is known from the FCC database. But some reports have already leaked some of the Phantom V Flip’s features.
Specifications of Tecno Phantom V Flip/ Yoga (Probable)
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is expected to feature a FullHD+ resolution display. The device will be powered by MediaTek Dimension 8050 chipset, which will deliver powerful performance. The phone may offer 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of in-built storage. The Phantom V Flip 5G will run on the company’s HiOS 13 custom user interface based on the Android 13 operating system.
In terms of photography, the rear camera setup of the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G may feature a dual-camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. And for selfies, the phone will feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of power backup, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G may be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery.
