The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G and Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 5G foldable smartphones were available for pre-order in Ghana from August 19 to August 24. Although a few days have passed since the pre-order ended, the brand is yet to officially launch these foldables, and even the launch date of the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G and Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 5G handsets has not been announced. Although they will be hitting the market soon, there is no need to wait for the official launch to know the price of the two handsets. The price of both the devices has been revealed by a source.

According to a report by Spillsambins, the clamshell foldable Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 handset for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model has been priced at 9,800 Ghanaian CDs (roughly Rs. 52,700). On the other hand, the more premium 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant of the book-style foldable Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 phone will be available at 16,550 Ghanaian CDs (roughly Rs. 89,000).
These prices indicate that Tecno will once again offer their foldables as a more affordable option than mainstream brands. For example, the book-style Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 phone is priced at $1,800 (roughly Rs. 1,51,000), while Motorola's cheapest clamshell foldable launched this year starts at $700 (roughly Rs. 58,715).
The official specifications of Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 phones are still unknown. However, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and TUV Rheinland (TUV Rheinland) certification revealed some key features of the book-style foldable.
The Phantom V Fold 2 phone will have a dual-cell battery with a capacity of 2,637 mAh and 2,973 mAh, giving it a total capacity of 5,610 mAh. The typical capacity is likely to be around 5,700 mAh, which is the same as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro phone and around 1,300 mAh more than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 handset. The phone can support 70W fast charging, an upgrade from its predecessor's 45W charging capability. In terms of performance, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 are rumored to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus and Dimensity 8050 chipsets respectively.
