Earlier last week, Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 were launched in the global market. Recently, DxOMark, a well-known company that evaluates camera and display quality, has tested both Samsung phones and revealed positive results. DXOMark has dubbed the Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 as ‘display champions’ in their respective price ranges. The Galaxy A35 model leads the sub-$400 (roughly Rs. 33,150) category, while the Samsung Galaxy A55 takes the top spot among devices priced under $500 (roughly Rs. 41,450).
The display and camera of the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G won praise
According to DXOMark’s tests, the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G has a peak brightness of 1,344 nits, while the A55 offers a high brightness level of an impressive 1,638 nits. In comparison, last year’s Samsung flagship, the Galaxy S23, scored 1,600 nits on DXOMark. So despite being mid-range smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G’s brightness approaches flagship levels, which is a remarkable achievement.
DXOmark’s testers praised the excellent color accuracy of both phones in various lighting conditions along with their commendable performance in HDR video playback. Also, the Samsung Galaxy A35 achieved the second-best camera ranking in its price segment. It performs very well in outdoor photography and video recording especially in its price range.
However, the Samsung Galaxy A55 ranks 15th in its segment when it comes to camera performance. Although it performs well in standard conditions, the phone faces problems in capturing scenes with backlighting, low-light conditions and motion.
