Samsung is going to make history! Will make the world’s first 2 nanometer chip

Samsung signs landmark deal with Preferred Networks (PFN) The Japanese brand’s move to leave Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and hold Samsung’s hand has surprised everyone and it remains to be seen where this move takes the companies in the future. At the moment, although chips are produced in 3 nanometer architecture, the semiconductor industry is moving to 2 nanometer processing nodes.

Samsung has started preparing for the first 2nm manufacturing

Preferred Networks is one of the well-known Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies. Now the company has signed an agreement to order Samsung to manufacture its first 2nm AI chip The effectiveness of Samsung’s 2-nanometer manufacturing strategy is not yet known. But the South Korean company is improving its technology more and more every year, so good results can be expected from it. Why PFN left Taiwan’s TSMC and joined hands with Samsung is not yet known for sure. Perhaps, Samsung has offered PFN a lower price for chip production.

In semiconductor manufacturing, Samsung generally lags behind TSMC in terms of performance and efficiency. However, the company will strive to successfully implement the 2 nanometer GAA (Get-All-Around) technology strategy to achieve the desired results.

Expect further improvements in the Samsung Exynos processors used in smartphones in the future. The performance results of the next Exynos 2500 chip are also eagerly awaited. Note that, like the current generation Exynos 2400, the upcoming Exynos 2500 processor will also have a ten-core architecture.
