Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch the Samsung Galaxy A16 and Samsung Galaxy A06 smartphones under its Galaxy A series. These handsets will be the successors to the Samsung Galaxy A15 that was unveiled in October last year and the Samsung Galaxy A05 that was launched in December. However, nothing has been confirmed by the company about Samsung Galaxy A16 and Samsung Galaxy A06 yet. But a recent report revealed their launch timeline and price range. Let's take a look at them.
Samsung Galaxy A16 and Samsung Galaxy A06 Phone Launch Timeline (Expected)
According to a report by Galaxy Club, the Samsung Galaxy A16 and Samsung Galaxy A06 phones are likely to be unveiled by December this year. However, the report added that the phones may not be launched in the global market until early next year. It has been said that other Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones like Samsung Galaxy A36 or Samsung Galaxy A56 could hit the market by March-April next year.
Samsung Galaxy A16 and Samsung Galaxy A06 Price (Expected)
The aforementioned Galaxy Club report added that the Samsung Galaxy A16 and Galaxy A06 phones could be priced around 200 Euros (around Rs. 18,200). During internal testing, the phones were spotted with model numbers SM-A166B and SM-A065M respectively. The Samsung Galaxy A16, like its predecessor, is expected to come in a 5G variant. However, the report did not mention any specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A16 and Samsung Galaxy A06 phones. Samsung Galaxy A15 and Samsung Galaxy A05 phone specifications
The 5G and 4G variants of the Samsung Galaxy A15 phone run on MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ and MediaTek Helio G99 chipsets respectively. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A05 model comes with the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. The Samsung Galaxy A15 features a 13-megapixel front sensor along with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A05 handset comes with a 50-megapixel dual rear camera system and an 8-megapixel front camera. For power backup, all three phones have a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support.
