Samsung Galaxy S24 FE listed on Geekbench, will have Exynos 2400e processor

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE phone is going to hit the market in a few months. Ahead of the launch, the phone has now appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform revealing some specifications.

Samsung's upcoming FE-branded device, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, is expected to launch in October, and is said to look similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE phone. The phone's support page was also recently spotted on the company's French website. And now the South Korean variant of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE handset has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site, revealing its key hardware specifications.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE spotted on Geekbench

According to the listing on Geekbench database, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE phone will be powered by an in-house S5E9945 motherboard and a 10-core CPU. The maximum clock speed of the CPU cores is 3.11 GHz. It also revealed that the variant has 8GB of RAM. The phone scored 1,625 and 5,698 in the single and multi-core tests respectively. It has also been revealed that the chipset is paired with an Xclipse 940 GPU.

MySmartPrice reports that the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S24 FE smartphone will debut with an underclocked variant of the Exynos 2400 chip used in the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus models.

Incidentally, the prime Cortex-X4 core in the Exynos 2400 chip has a clock speed of 3.2 GHz. Meanwhile, two of the five Cortex-A720 cores run at 2.9 GHz and the other three are clocked at 2.6 GHz. And the remaining four Cortex-A520 cores run at 1.95 GHz.

It turns out that the Cortex-A720 and Cortex-X4 cores of the supposed Exynos 2400E have slightly lower clock speeds. While this won't affect peak performance that much, it could be done to better manage heat, as the FE model may not have the same cooling solution as more premium models with the chip.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will also be powered by an earlier chipset, a slightly underclocked version of the company's latest flagship chipset Exynos 2400. This phone is expected to launch with One UI 6.1.1 custom skin based on Android 14 operating system with Galaxy AI features. It is also rumored that the phone will come with a massive 4,565 mAh battery, same as its predecessor.
