Redmi has been releasing teasers for the launch of a new smartphone in China for the past few days. Reports claim that this phone will be launched as Redmi Note 13 Turbo. However, the company surprised its fans today by announcing that it will be part of a new series called the “Turbo” lineup instead of the popular Note series.
The new Redmi Turbo 3 series is coming soon
A poster has been shared by the Chinese brand, which confirms that this new Redmi smartphone will be launched under the name “Redmi Turbo 3”. Notably, the device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor, which is said to be a “lite” version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Now the question is, what kind of phones will be included in the new Turbo series? The Turbo series is said to be launched as a new generation performance flagship, which aims to redefine the mid-range segment.
Notably, last year’s Turbo-branded phone, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, belonged to the Note series. The new poster suggests that Turbo brand phones will be included in a separate lineup this year. As for the Note series, it will focus on offering mid-range phones to popularize the flagship features among a wider user base.
However, the Redmi K-lineup is expected to be superior to the Turbo series. The K-series will include high-end phones offering flagship performance and features. Finally, the Redmi Note series will have entry-level phones, positioned below the Note lineup.
Notably, the upcoming Redmi Turbo 3 is expected to debut in China this month. The same device is expected to be rebranded as Poco F6 in the global market. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered Poco F6 and F6 Pro may debut in the global market in May.
